Details:

This event was not only important to all of the MHS seniors, but also to me as I won the BlueTube Broadcast Award in this stream. We had used a static podium camera and 2 PTZs, one at the stage and one in back - audio fed from the house mixer. This also had lower 3rd graphics appear during the live stream, which were pre-made in photoshop before the event.

This was one of the major events streamed during my time with the MHS Athletic Department, I had used 10ft tall truss and mounted 2 PTZs on top, along with a PoE switch and SDI cables to return the video signal. I also had a camera person outside using a 4K studio camera with a zoom lens in order to get the main action shots while I ran the switcher for the event.

A fellow broadcast student and I got the opportunity to stream an event at Foxwoods Resort & Casino for real estate agent Ricky Carruth (who has amassed over 250k Instagram followers). For this event, we had used 2 PTZ cameras and a 4K studio camera, as well as 2 HyperDecks to record the separate camera files along with the main switched output recording.

My final stream during my time as a student at Middletown High School was the first ever Beman Middle School graduation (brand new building). For this stream we had used a P2P network bridge in order to send data to our PTZ camera in the middle of the audience where we only had power available. I had the responsibility of also mixing the sound for this event while also operating the PTZ cameras, while another student helped with switching.

This is an example of one of my recurring jobs at the Middletown Board of Education; live streaming their monthly 'Regular Meeting', I have aided in designing their setup and operate the audio and video that goes out to the stream and the house audio for those who are in person.

EDITING

Final Cut Pro

I have been creating videos using Final Cut Pro X since my freshman year of high school (2018-2019).

I have used the software from anything from simple edits, to more complex projects that require tedious keyframing, audio effects, and animations.

To the right is a timeline from one of my final videos in high school, which was a documentary from our trip to California - this consisted of a talking-head shot with tons of B-roll and comedic sound effect/video animation edits.

Premiere Pro

I began using Premiere Pro my first semester of college (Fall 2022). I have applied my editing knowledge from Final Cut Pro to adapt to this advanced software and learn its key commands and features. I am becoming more proficient in the software as I create more projects both in class and for personal projects.

Senior Video

This was the senior video I edited for all of the students in the broadcast program graduating in 2022. Compiled through sifting through hundreds of Google Drive files, downloading, and trying my best to make a story with random clips from 4 years of videos!

Teacher Appreciation

This was a videos that I edited for the MHS broadcast program using clips provided by students who had the film part as an assignment, and it was my job to edit them all together.
