Over the past 5+ years, I have worked with a variety of clients both in the creative and Low-Voltage field to design and implement solutions that meet and exceed their expectations.
Middletown High Athletics
Middletown, CT
From 2020-2022, I worked for the MHS Athletic Dept, live streaming basketball, football, soccer, swim, etc., almost nightly during their respective seasons. I consulted, installed, and ran the equipment for these livestreams. During the 2022 season, I was able to build a small team of students to assist me with setup and operation of these events.
MHS BlueTube TV Studio
Middletown, CT
Middletown High's BlueTube TV Studio was plagued by old, outdated equipment, and a TriCaster system that was unreliable. In 2023, I was called in to redo the entire TV Studio from the ground up with new video, sound, lighting equipment. Over the summer, a colleague and I worked hard to get the studio up to date - also adding an LED sign and TV in the hallway to attract new members to the BlueTube club.
Oddfellows Playhouse
Middletown, CT
I have been the videographer for Oddfellows Playhouse in Middletown since May 2024. Oddfellows is a non-profit youth theater, founded in 1975. My main duty is filming the major plays, but I also have worked to film some special segments for use within the plays (Via Projection) and have ran CAT6 cable in the building to provide a live stream from the main theater to a downstairs viewing area.
Merryweather Farm
East Haddam, CT
Merryweather Farm is a small hobby farm located in East Haddam. In 2022, the owner had originally reached out to me to install cameras on her house, and then later called me back to install cameras on her barn to keep an eye on the animals. Once the barn was constructed, I came back and installed a camera system in the barn. I also installed a small 70V sound system at the barn, allowing for more speakers to be added in the future.
Lincoln Technical Institute
New Britain, CT
As a student at Lincoln Technical Institute, I introduced my low-voltage and A/V expertise to a program focused on high-voltage. I installed a BrightSign on one of the Simplex fire alarm panels to display looping videos and switch to an emergency alert during an alarm condition. I also built an access control demo unit, and set up a couple of security cameras to demonstrate both analog and IP CCTV. All of these demo setups help students understand LV systems
CT State Middlesex
Middletown, CT
Every year, CT State Middlesex holds it's annual 'Arts and Media Festival' which houses a compilation of student work from the year. During my time as a student, I was called in both years to do lighting for the event, bringing in my own moving head lights and truss to make the event as high-end as possible.
Middletown Board of Ed
Middletown, CT
In June 2022, the Middletown BOE began live streaming their monthly board meetings at the newly built Beman Middle School in town. In order to complete this task, they called me in to consult new live-streaming equipment and to run the audio mixing for meetings.
I also film, live stream, and mix other events for the district - such as concerts, awards, and graduation.
Durham Fair
Durham, CT
In 2024, I was given the opportunity to work for the Durham Fair Main Stage. I was a camera operator for new country star Chris Janson, and spotlight operator for the famous Don Barnes of 38 Special. I had to work closely with the Lighting Designer of 38 Special in order to ensure that I was on point, as I was on the lead vocalist,.
Creamery Road Inn
East Haddam, CT
The Creamery Road Inn is a historic 1850s home converted into an Airbnb. The owner of this property wanted cameras to ensure that guests remained respectful of the house rules. This was a challenging installation as the wall cavities in these historic homes are about an inch deep, making wire fishing a true skill. In the end, I was able to complete a clean installation and leave the customer more-than-satisfied with their new camera system.
BlueTube Podcast Studio
Middletown, CT
In 2024, MHS BlueTube TV wanted to expand its program by moving into the video-podcast world on top of the existing studio. This area is still under construction as we wait for funding to get new furnishings, but the room is currently set up with 4 Mics, an NEC TV for video, lighting battens, and PTZ cameras for video. There is also an SDI cable running from this room to the main control room to bring video from the podcast room into the main BlueTube TV stream!
Blue Orchard Lights
Middletown, CT
Blue Orchard Lights is a free-to-view lighting display for Halloween and Christmas that I have been putting on for over 7 years. This display uses all professional-grade equipment and I use it as a time to display my experience with working in the A/V field. The main show runs off of Light-O-Rama software, but there are many integrations between the DMX network, as well as the DSP control of projectors, BrightSigns, and more.
Foxwoods
Mashantucket, CT
In 2021, I was given the oppertunity to work as Technical Director in one of the Foxwoods banquet rooms for real estate speaker Ricky Carruth. At this event, we had 2 PTZ cameras and one Blackmagic studio camera with a zoom lens. I had to work closely with the client to make sure we had a clear understanding of the runorder, and I worked with the house audio engineer to get our sound set up.
Tandoor Restaurant
Middletown, CT
Tandoor Indian Cuisine on Main Street in Middletown was in need of an access point install for their POS System. I determined the best location for the AP and ran CAT6 in the ceiling back to their main router, where another AP was placed to give coverage to the host stand area.
Hightower Productions
Middletown, CT
Hightower Productions is a live sound company owned by audio engineer Troy Hightower. Troy knows how important it is to have crew members who understand the equipment and have the "engineer mindset" to come up with solutions when things don't go to plan. I have been working with Troy at MPS for at least 5 years, and recently began working for him, together we ensure that the client is left at ease knowing the team they hired has it covered.
